Do I have to pay custom Charges on China Fairings? And how long for the shipping?
I ordered a motorcycle fairing kit from fairingmaster.com 7 days ago, and was wondering for anyone who has ordered the Chinese fairings how much were you have to pay for custom charges when they arrived?
This is the most frequently asked and concerned questions from our buyers. FairingMaster had produced the fairing kits and shipped to international since 2004, we have more than ten years of shipping experience. Now let me summarize the something about the shipping and taxes.
First, what shipping way (company) is the best for the motorcycle fairing kit?
As we know, the motorcycle fairing kit is a very large package, the big one is 100cm*50cm*70cm, weight 12kg. The shipping company UPS, FEDEX, DHL, TNT are calculating with the volume weight as 100*50*70 / 6000 = 58KG. That means if we ship the fairing kit with those companies, the shipping will be calculated as 58KG, the shipping charge is very expensive, but very fast, it takes about 2-5 days for delivery to most of the country.
Fortunately, The EMS and HKEMS only calculate the real weight, they don’t calculate the volume weight, the shipping charges is about US dollars $130 to US and Europe. And the shipping times takes about 5-10 for delivery. (Please notice that the shipping time is never guaranteed, sometimes it's very fast, sometimes it takes about 30 days or more times if Post’s air cargo capacity has been impacted due to a high volume of items ) .
So, we ship all items by the EMS or HKEMS, once the item arrive at your country, your locate post office will deliver the item to you.
Do I have to pay custom charges on China motorcycle fairings?
USA, Australia, Singapore
If you are located in above country, there is no extra custom taxes.
Europe, Canada, New Zealand
You need to pay about $30 - $80 for the custom charge if you locate in above country, it is for reference, not exactly the amounts. Your locate post office will contact you to pay the custom taxes and then they will delivery the item to you. We always declare $80-$100 on the shipping billing.
